Trek Overview

About This Trek

An off-the-beaten-path ridge walk in the Annapurna region leading to the Khopra Danda viewpoint at 3,660m — a stunning alternative to Poon Hill with far fewer trekkers. The trail passes through rhododendron forests, Gurung villages, and a sacred high-altitude lake at Khayer Lake.

Khopra Danda offers the same dramatic Dhaulagiri and Annapurna panoramas as the famous Poon Hill loop, but with the peace and quiet of a trail that still feels undiscovered. An excellent choice for repeat visitors and those who value solitude over footfall.
